Simulated Golf Association

About

Simulated golf deserves
a governing body.

Traditional golf has rules, course ratings, the World Handicap System and records that mean the same thing everywhere. We are building that for the game played indoors.

Why we exist

Millions play. Nothing counts.

Simulated golf became a real sport while nobody was governing it. There are more than half a million simulators in the world and no shared way to record what happens on them.

So a great round is a story you tell. A player rating is a guess. A tournament is a matter of trust between strangers. And every venue keeps its own private island of data.

The Simulated Golf Association™ exists to fix that: rules, player ratings, certification, and competition that carries weight because the record behind it can be verified.

A modern golf simulator facility

What we do

Govern the game

Rules of play for simulated golf, and the player rating system that makes scores comparable between people who have never met.

Certify the rooms

Independent standards for bays, so a tournament can require a known quality instead of hoping for one.

Run the competition

Leagues, tournaments and rankings that reach across venues, cities and eventually borders.

What we are not

Not a simulator company. We do not build simulators and we do not compete with the people who do.
Not a hardware manufacturer. We want the people building launch monitors to build better ones.
Not a paywall. Membership is free, and the technical standard underneath it is open to anyone.
Not a walled garden. Your data is yours, and it works in equipment from any manufacturer that speaks the standard.

Built with the industry, not against it.

The technical foundation is published openly for any manufacturer to implement.
